How does in-memoriam work?
- Get the QR code:
After you have placed an order for the creation of a commemorative website, you will receive a QR code in the format of your choice. This code is a key link to the memorial website and should be attached in a prominent position on the gravestone. - Scan the QR code:
Use your smartphone or tablet to find and open the QR code scanning app. The scanning process may vary depending on the operating system of your device. For iOS devices (iPhone, iPad) you can use the built-in camera or the QR code scanning app. For Android devices, you can use apps like Google Lens, QR Code Reader or QR & Barcode Scanner. - Camera orientation:
Use your device’s camera to aim the QR code and make sure it is fully captured within the frame on the screen. The scanning app will automatically recognise the QR code and redirect you to the website.
- Access to the Memorial Website:
Once the QR code has been successfully scanned, a memory web page containing the content you provided when you placed your order will appear on your device’s screen. This includes photographs, text, video and audio clips, and the reading of an obituary. - Reading and Viewing Content:
You can browse the websites and view content related to the deceased person. You can read the obituary, view photos, videos and contribute your own memories or expressions of condolences, if you are able to do so on the website.
Save and Share: If you want to save or share a link to a memory website, you can do so using the features provided on your device (e.g. the “Save link” or “Share” option). - By following these simple instructions, visitors can easily access the memorial website via a QR code attached to the tombstone.
