What is a QR code

A QR code is a square-shaped barcode containing information such as text, URL links, contact details, or other information. It was developed for fast and easy reading using smartphones, tablets and other devices with a camera.

Why use a barcode on the monument?

The website you visit by scanning the barcode gives you easy access to information about the deceased, which can be viewed by people who are interested in it. It is a more comprehensive supplement to the basic information on the memorial, such as the name of the deceased and the year of birth and death.

What content can be put on the memorial page?
  • Basic information about the deceased: name and surname of the deceased, date of birth, date of death, place of birth, place of death.
  • Featured photo: The photo that will be at the top of the website and as such would best represent the deceased person
  • Obituary: a brief account of the deceased’s life and achievements, serving as a memorial to him or her.
  • Photos: gallery of photographs of the deceased, showing his life and memories.

We take into account the wishes of the deceased’s family and respect their privacy and cultural practices.

DURABILITY - FIXING

How durable is the QR code sticker?

The tile is durable and not sensitive to weather conditions.

How do I attach the plaque to the monument?

Tiles can be made of different materials: plastic, stone, metal. They are subject to different methods of gluing or fixing. Given the multitude of headstone materials, we advise you to discuss this with the stonemason who prepared the memorial.

A thin application of mounting adhesive is most often used. For smooth surfaces such as marble, a double adhesive strip of 0.5-1 mm thickness is usually sufficient.

Do I need a professional to fix the tiles?

We definitely advise you to consult a stonemason. You can also attach the plaque yourself, but make sure you know how to glue it to the material it is made of.

Is it allowed to use tiles on monuments?

In principle, there are no restrictions on the placement of the plaque, except in the case of monumented graves and graves of special importance / group tombs, etc. We recommend that you inform the cemetery authorities of your intention to erect the memorial so that they can see the location and the contents of the memorial page.

Can I exchange or order an additional QR tile?

Yes, you can order the tile at the current price list in the quantities required
